Team Jumbo-Visma will appear at the start of the Ruta del Sol with a mixed team. Sports director Sierk Jan de Haan: “We will start without a protected leader, so every rider has the opportunity to show himself. With Owen and Finn, two riders from the Jumbo-Visma Development Team are part of the squad. It is a tough race for these men, but also a great learning experience.”
For Van Hooydonck and Eenkhoorn, riders from the classics team, it is the first race after a period of rest. Last Thursday, Roosen rode his first race in a while with Circuit de Wallonie.
