The frame plates of various stage victories, worn helmets, and numerous jerseys and kits autographed by Tour champion Jonas Vingegaard and green jersey winner Marianne Vos were among the Tour de France items up for auction. A green jersey signed by Wout van Aert raised the most: €12,012.

"Thanks to all the people who bid on the items as well as the efforts of Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur, almost eighty children from minimal-income families can play sports again for another year”, says Richard Plugge, general director of Team Jumbo-Visma. "Of course we, too, are happy to commit to this. Every child should have the opportunity to exercise and to develop socially and mentally. We are proud to be able to contribute to this in cooperation with Catawiki."

Myrthe van Doesburg, Communications & Partnerships at Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur, is grateful for the commitment of Team Jumbo-Visma. "Sports and culture are important for the development of children. Children learn about themselves, make new friends, develop self-confidence, and acquire useful skills on the sports grounds, in music courses, or during theater lessons. However, not all kids consider sports to be a given. We think it shouldn't be the case and that it needn't be. It is fantastic that Team Jumbo-Visma endorses our mission and has organised this auction. And with a great result. With this, we can help many more children."

The check worth €19,224 was presented to the Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur by Plugge on Monday at the Team Jumbo-Visma headquarters.

It was the second time that Team Jumbo-Visma and Catawiki teamed up to raise money for Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur. Also in 2021, a considerable amount was raised for this charity. The Jeugdfonds will also hold its auction with Catawiki to celebrate its 20th anniversary in the fall of 2023. Team Jumbo-Visma brought both parties together.
