Affini to stay with Team Jumbo-Visma for another three years

Edoardo Affini and Team Jumbo-Visma have extended their collaboration for another three years. The contract between the Italian rider and the Dutch team runs through the end of 2026. In 2021, the fifth-year pro debuted with the formation of Richard Plugge and sportive director Merijn Zeeman.

"It feels very natural for me to continue the adventure together after three fun years with this team", Affini (27) said. "I am happy to extend my contract for three years. It indicates a high level of trust and commitment. I have found my strengths here, and I look forward to building on them with the support of the team. It is motivating to work with some of the best riders in the world and pursue our goals together. Additionally, I will keep working to deliver outstanding performances whenever I can."

"Edoardo is a role model for our team's culture and a top athlete at heart"

Zeeman could not imagine a future without the Mantova-based rider. "We are thrilled that he will be part of our team for the next three years. Edo has unique qualities. He can do a lot of work for our leaders and is also a great time-trialist. As a person, Edoardo is a role model for our team's culture and a top athlete at heart."
