Schools

The goal of Team Jumbo-Visma Academy is to persuade more young people between the ages of fifteen and eighteen to pick up cycling. This concerns grades four, five and six from the secondary school. By organising cycling clinics at schools, we try to strengthen the relationship between the school and the local cycling associations in a sustainable way.

For a Team Jumbo-Visma Academy school visit, we prefer to be present on two consecutive days. This way we meet as many fourth, fifth and sixth graders as possible. In consultation with the physical education section, we take over the gymnastics lessons and provide the clinic with Tacx trainers and Zwift software. There are professional instructors who guide the students. Representatives of the local cycling club are also present. They connect with interested students to see if they want to get to know more about the sport. The association offers a starter pack for every interested student, whether they have their own bicycle and helmet or not.

Schools that are interested in a clinic must first be in contact with the local cycling club before they get in touch with Team Jumbo-Visma Academy.
