Tobias Foss has convincingly prolonged his Norwegian time trial title. The 25-year-old rider was in a class of his own on the hilly course in and around Steinkjer. "I'm thrilled that I was able to defend my title. This jersey is too beautiful to give away", he said.

Noemi Rüegg has won the Swiss time trial championship in the U23 category. The 21-year-old rider of Team Jumbo-Visma stayed ahead of Linda Zanetti (7 seconds) and Jasmin Liechti (22 seconds).

Tom Dumoulin has won the silver medal at the Dutch championship time trial in Emmen. The 2021 Dutch champion of Team Jumbo-Visma had to acknowledge the superiority of Bauke Mollema, who won the red-white-and-blue champion's jersey for the first time.

Riejanne Markus and Anouska Koster have won a medal at the Dutch Championship Time Trial for elite women for the first time in their careers. On the thirty-kilometer course in Emmen, the 27-year-old Markus grabbed silver behind Ellen van Dijk, while the 28-year-old Koster seized bronze.

Loe van Belle (eighth) and Lars Boven (ninth) finished in the top ten at the Dutch championship in Emmen. Darren van Bekkum, Tijmen Graat and Owen Geleijn secured a place in the top twenty.

Edoardo Affini has taken the bronze medal at the Italian time trial championships. In a sweltering San Giovanni al Natisone, the 25-year-old rider from Team Jumbo-Visma was defeated by Filippo Ganna (50 seconds) and Mattia Cattaneo (14 seconds). In the battle for bronze, Affini beat last year's champion Matteo Sobrero.

German rider Michel Hessmann finished ninth in the time trial in his home country. "I would have liked to finish a little higher, but the differences were minimal", the 21-year-old Hessmann said.

Linda Riedmann won a silver medal in the time trial for U23 riders in Germany. Romy Kasper finished eighth in the elite event.
