From the 2022/2023 season, AGU will be the official clothing supplier for the Team Jumbo-Visma speed skating teams. In addition to the cycling teams, which have been sponsored by AGU since 2019, the partnership between AGU and Team Jumbo-Visma is now expanding further with the speed skaters of the professional team, the Development Team and the marathon speed skating team.
AGU is an expert when it comes to providing the fastest clothing for top athletes. The professional cyclists of Team Jumbo-Visma have already been benefiting from this for quite some time and the gained knowledge and experience is now being used to contribute to the fastest times of the speed skaters of the team of coach Jac Orie.
As of April 2022, the speed skaters of Team Jumbo-Visma will be provided with an extensive package of clothing. Not only will they get the super-fast speed skating skinsuits from AGU at the start of the new season. Suitable training clothing for cycling, running and inline skating will also be part of the deal. In addition, a casual line has been developed, especially for the speed skaters. Consisting of winter jackets, sweaters, sweatpants and t-shirts.
Because of close cooperation with the speed skaters and partners, AGU can offer the most high-quality, innovative and aerodynamic sportswear. For example, Team Jumbo-Visma's race clothing is created through extensive tests, in close consultation with the athletes and in collaboration with the Eindhoven University of Technology and Sportconfex BV. By doing so, every speed skater will have a tailor-made skinsuit for the very best result.
"AGU has been deeply involved with the cyclists of Team Jumbo-Visma for years and shares our vision to get better every day," coach Orie said. "AGU fully understands what professional sports are all about and we will make sure that together we remain at the forefront of technology."
Björn Jeurissen, CEO of the Dutch AGU: "Thanks to our experiences with the professional cyclists of Team Jumbo-Visma, we know better than anyone that everything must be in order down to the smallest details. Where the team makes science out of every gram, watt, millimeter, calorie or carbohydrate, we, at AGU, look at every stitch, every seam and look for perfection, down to every fiber. We look forward to further innovating with the speed skaters of Team Jumbo-Visma in order to make a huge impact."
