Team Jumbo-Visma was active in the Tour de Romandie last week. Tobias Foss had good chances in the general classification for a long time after a strong prologue. Tom Gloag also showed himself. The 21-year-old British rider finished the stage race with a top-ten place in the queen stage. Relive the Tour de Romandie in photos below!
The Swiss stage race opened with a prologue of almost seven kilometres in Port-Valais. Time trial world champion Tobias Foss performed well, but the 25-year-old Norwegian missed out on the win by only a second. In stages two and three, team leaders Foss and Gloag also showed themselves racing up front.
On day three, another time trial had to be ridden. Around 18 kilometres had to be covered in Châtel-Saint-Denis. Foss finished eighth, maintaining a place in the top three of the general classification. Unfortunately, he and Robert Gesink had to leave the race due to minor health problems. Meanwhile, a strong Tom Gloag climbed to a great ninth place in the GC.
