A tough stage. Vingegaard was put to the test by Pogacar, but he fought back bravely. The yellow jersey was not in danger.
This stage started with a major setback, as Primoz Roglic did not start due to previous injuries. There was also bad luck along the way. Steven Kruijswijk crashed and had to get out. Vingegaard managed to keep his lead over Pogacar.
