Safety first with CloseTheGap
Our riders' bikes are optimised down to the smallest detail. The general rule is...
In rain, snow or storms our riders use a smart trainer by Tacx. All data from the bike rides are also read by the Garmin 830 or 1030 and Garmin heart rate belts.
At home, at training camps and during competitions, our athletes have the Tacx Neo 2T at their disposal. This smart trainer is used for the warm-up before a time trial or difficult (mountain) stage, in bad weather and, as was often the case last year, during online races.
Tacx also supplies the bottle cages and matching water bottles for the bicycle.
The athletes will receive the Garmin 830 with which all data will be read out. This is not only about speed and distance, but also power and heart rate. The Garmin comes with navigation and automatically sees the profile of a climb and gradient when following a route or course.
Did you know that Wout van Aert pedaled 1520 watts in the final of Milano-Sanremo? And George Bennett averaged 550 watts during his decisive attack in Gran Piemonte?
